The Ancient Mayans

About the Mayans

    The Mayans were a civilization that lasted from 500 B.C. to sometime in the 800's A.D.  No one knows exactly how or why their civilization ended, but from 800-860 B.C. the Mayans mysteriosly abandoned their city-states. 

Weird Mayan Facts

    Most civilizations at that time didn't have desserts, but the Mayans invented chocolate!  The Mayans had a lot of advantages, such as obsidian weapons, toys with wheels, and a very suprisingly accurate calandar.
